Celebrating Graduates and Prize Winners

On June 20th, students, parents, faculty, and staff all gathered in the Hand-Purvis Conference Room to celebrate spring convocation.

This celebration was special not only because it was held in person for the first time in two years, but because graduates from 2020, 2021, and 2022 were all invited to attend.

Prof. Allen Head praised the perseverance of the graduates in getting to this point over the past two years of disruptions and remote learning. He described how the analytic tools developed in the QED can form the basis of their careers:

In these uncertain economic times, perhaps more than ever, there will be great opportunities for you to apply these skills in whatever your future endeavors may be:
          in a career in either the private or public sector,
          in future studies in professional school,
         or in graduate studies in economics.
