The course consists of three parts. The first part presents the basic epidemiological model (SIR Model) and incorporates economic policy in the model. The second part discusses how to think about trade-offs between economic and epidemiological considerations. The third and final part outlines the policy response to the CoVid-19 pandemic and evaluates the implications of monetary and fiscal policy in the short and long-run.

Students will be working entirely with Jupyter notebooks to implement models and conduct analysis in Python and R. The course provides guidance where to find easy to understand introductions into these tools and programming languages.
